Rebates and Tax Credits
Most electric companies encourage their customers to improve energy-efficiency of their appliances, including HVAC equipment. And because heating and cooling are by far the most energy-consuming activities, tuning up your system or upgrading to a better system means big energy (and monetary) savings. Below are the two major rebate programs that may help you offset some of the costs of HVAC improvements. You may also qualify for the federal renewable energy tax credit. Disclaimer: all tax credits are from the organizations linked here and not directly available from A Quality.
