Good Morning Earl,

I want to let you know our new coal fired hot air system is working just fine. The temperature in the house stays at a very comfortable and even 71 degrees - no more temperature swings! Now we have a warm basement too.

Currently I am using only the propane furnace blower to draw the air from the coal stove - running it continuously. This morning the temperature was 72, so I set the auger feed rate back just a little. I'll have to learn how the system needs "tweeked" from day to day.

The larger cold air return trunk line that you suggested and installed at the propane furnace allows the air handler to run much quieter now. That's an added plus!

When I get the new addition wired and insulated I will open the damper, turn off the propane blower, and use the coal stove blower (or maybe both blowers will be needed). I'm thinking in order to make the system even more efficient, maybe a cold air return should be installed in the new addition and ran to the coal stove. We'll see how the system runs when I get the new addition ready to heat.

I wanted to write to you to let you know how much I appreciate the way your company took care of me when I called on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

From the very first person I spoke with on the phone to the young man who handled the repair of my furnace I was totally impressed!  When I called to explain that my furnace was not working at 2:00 in the afternoon, the young lady who took my call immediately made a call to someone who was heading down to the Sykesville area for a standard maintenance call and re-directed him to my home.  Your truck arrived in less than 30 minutes at my door!

The young man, Brian, was able to diagnose the problem within minutes and was ready to replace the part needed.  Not having the actual part needed on the truck, he was able to put on a temporary part that would get me thru the night so that I would have heat and then return the next morning to put the correct part in.  I was so appreciative that he was able to give me heat thru the night!  Within 5 minutes he came back in to let me know that another gentlemen was on his way down with the correct part that he would switch out the part now rather than come back the next morning!

Your company went above and beyond to repair my furnace.  I truly appreciate the service I received and will highly recommend your company to others.
